Fun Beatle History - Part 2

• After the success of the single"Love me do", the Beatles rushed to record their first album "Please please me" , the words were irrelevant and the main issue was to create a sound. The album reached number 1 in the UK charts and sold three quarters of a million of copies in a matter of weeks. 
• In 1963, The band started to preform in the UK and their popularity grew, a frenzied adulation took place, called Beatlemania.Each performance and public appearances was greeted with riots of screaming fans.As a result, thousands of policeman found themselves fighting the crowds with high pressure fire hoses in order to protect the band.
• The second album to be produced was called "With the Beatles" and it was the second album in all time history to reach a million copies in sales with smashing hits such as "I want to hold your hand".
