Fun Beatle history - part 1

  • The band first started out with the names such as " long John and the Beetles" and "Johnny and the Moondogs" before finally coming up with the name the "Beatles" in 1960.
  • They started off playing in Hamburg that same year, and quickly got deported back to England, the reasons being Harrison's young age and McCartney getting arrested for arsony charges that had to do with a nailed condom in their hotel room.
  • In 1962, their stardom began.. they appointed Brian Epstein to be their manager and went to record their first two singles being " Love me Do" and " P.S I love you". It was during this time that the last Beatle joined the group - Ringo Starr and finalized what was to be the greatest band of all times.
  • The two sigles became reached the top 20 UK hit and became to get noticeable, it was then that Epstein started to sense their commercial potential and encouraged the band to adopt a professional attitude.
